How can we support young people in finding a hopeful and fulfilling path forward despite an uncertain future? What are the opportunities here in our community to launch careers that will positively impact the climate crisis? How widely is climate change impacting people's professions here in southwest Michigan? These are the questions that led a team of Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) Career Champions to organize a climate careers day for high school students this April. Joan Hawxhurst, a career development consultant with KRESA's Career Connect, will share information on student interests and goals, outline the Working for the Climate event planned for April 22, and offer ways for local professionals to get involved.
